PLACEMENT PARCEL

As part of my level 5 qualification I was required to complete a placement in the Graphic Design industry. Instead of sending an email or portfolio to agencies I created an A6 handmade book, with screen printed patterned cover and individual letterpressed K's within it. Enclosed in a small envelope I also included a cover letter to the head of the studio detailing what it was that I liked about their work, and asking for the opportunity to work with them, as well as a small hand wrapped chocolate bar as a gift to thank them for taking the time to look at my piece. I hand delivered each envelope to the relevant studios and gained two 1 week placements from it, one with branding and packing agency Bluemarlin in London, and one with bespoke printing studio Meticulous Ink in Bath.
