KASHIR is born out of the desire to bring the centuries-old art of shawl making to the western fashion world through contemporary silhouettes. 
More and more style-conscience women, around the world, are embracing the handmade elegance that every one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art commands! KASHIR purely believes in enhancing the Art & Craft. But KASHIR is not anywhere near generating the kind exposure the Kashmiri people want, need and deserve for their contributions to art and fashion. 
KASHIR determines to reach women who pride themselves as fashion trendsetters and art lovers to become the face of our mission to revive the Kashmiri lineage of handmade shawl making. We proudly represent farmers & families who invest sometimes three years of their lives (in-between planting & harvesting seasons) to produce just one hand-designed shawl or scarf. 

KASHIR is not just in this to bring you the pieces of art; we’re here to spotlight the Kashmiri Artisans. 
We have very much to owe to our ancestors for their beautiful culture & traditions, now it's our turn to repay...
Kashmir, proudly known as the paradise of earth is also home to temperate fruits like apple for which the state is very famous across the globe. Apple (Malus pumila) is commercially the most important temperate fruit and is fourth among most widely produced fruits in the world after banana, orange and grape.Man has a very little control over nature specially factors like the climatic conditions which influence the geographic distribution of various kinds and varieties of temperate fruits. I personally found it a great way to connect to the culture and crafts of Jammu & Kashmir and revive it.
To identify a revenue stream, one must first understand the several consumers of fashion, understand the story of their own product and how can it engage with different customer segments in different intensities and with variable objectives
The idea behind my project is that I would create women's wear having interesting silhouettes with an contemporary edge. The range would be made out of Classic Kashmiri Embroidered Shawls.

Funding Pattern:
Non refundable seed Money of 35% of the project cost subject to maximum limit of.
Rupees 3 Lakhs for under Graduates/Graduates.
Rs. 5 Lakhs for post graduates.
Rupees 7.5 Lakhs for Doctors, Engineers, MBA's
65% of the project cost will be provided by J&K Bank as loan @ 9% as per annum.


Promotion of a brand is a very trivial aspect.Time and money will be invested in social media & website maintenance and purchase of high-quality flyers or ads to distribute where clientele will likely to be (spas, salons & other non-competing clothing stores)
To start the boutique business, the first step is to finalize the place along with it comes purchasing of materials, employing manpower which includes Tailors, Pattern Masters, Accountant, Sourcing head, etc., Utilities include machinery, interiors, mannequins, etc,.
