The explorations started with many pages in a sketchbook similar to this one; I was simply looking for a starting place that felt suited for the phrase itself.
Eventually the explorations narrowed down to one style that the client favored as well as myself. The large, bubbly and ornate letters seemed to be where this was headed.
Refining some of the attempts.
With complete creative freedom given, this is the first (VERY ROUGH) draft I presented to the client. I was excited about the image, but we both agreed that something about the font wasn't working (gross production messiness aside).
With a clean slate, I revisited all of the fonts at my disposal and landed on three finals ones - Zapfino, Signpainter, and Pacifico. I favored Signpainter, and after showing my client the similarities between my initial goal and this typeface, we both couldn't bring ourselves to make it anything else.
