Melt Ice Cream Scoop
The Melt warming ice cream scoop is designed to easily scoop ice cream straight from the freezer. Melt gently warms up in 2 minutes to a temperature safe to the touch but hot enough to scoop even the hardest of ice creams. Avoid melting a tub of ice cream in the microwave and refreezing it only to discover ice crystals or freezer burn. Melt is available in six playful colors, making the art of scooping ice cream even more fun.

After a design direction was chosen I prototyped foam models to determine the correct size of the ice cream scoop.

Working Prototype
Melt works by using a flexible heating element, powered by a rechargeable LiPo battery, This allows for melt to heat up to 85F in as little as 2 minutes.
Inductive Charging
Melt uses inductive charging to recharge the internal LiPo battery. Simply plug the charger into an outlet then set Melt into the charger. Melt will magnetically attach to the charger keeping it off your kitchen counter. This also keeps the unit sealed from moisture when in use as well as being cleaned (hand wash only).
