They are every day rebels with a cause. Every single day they protest against the church, against the school rules, they protest against their parents, siblings and main stream media. You will not see them in large groups with banners in their hands written ‘purple hair is not a cry out for attention’. They know you hear what they are saying without them having to say a single word.
Meet Bafana ‘Blaqchildrebel’ Khumalo
He is a self made black hippie and fashion buyer based in the Vaal. He seeks to always push boundaries and challenge gender stereotypes in a society that is hell bent on perpetuating high moral standards. He is soft spoken and is passionate about his work.
The way that he looks and carries himself is not a choice but rather a pure unfiltered reflection of who he truly is.
