Photogram Review

My idea was representing a vinyl.
The composition had to be plain and simple: for this reason I didn’t put lots of objects in it. The grape’s pattern follows the borders of the paper, and creates strong contrast in terms of b&w and shape.
Another contrast is between the DVD and the grape, corresponding to technology and nature.
I think the DVD was a good choice, because it shows different tones of grey, and the title written on its surface is particular. This photograms is also a sequence, which develops from the sharpening square of the paper to the circular outline of the DVD.
Though it maintains a certain stiffness with the match on the DVD, that should be the tone arm.
