IKEA's Young Designer Award 2016 is a two-round competition which calls out for designers to design a product with the theme "IT STARTS WITH THE FOOD".

With the theme in mind, I started brainstorming and sketching my ideas. I ultimately shortlisted the idea of a tray designed for elders and caretakers. As part of the requirements, I had to submit an PDF document detailing my idea. You can see my submission below.

Funny story, this was my second attempt at IKEA's Young Designer Award competition, the first attempt was during 2014. I did not really have high expectations for this second attempt as I was even busier with school work compared to the last one. 

IKEA decided to let in more participants to the final round and hence the final round consists of 20 finalists... 

I managed to go achieve Top 20 and go the final round :) I did not manage to get Top 3 (again), but was satisfied with my accomplishment nonetheless.
