Redesigning the Jaffa cakes packaging
This redesign is part of my master’s project for Sheffield Hallam University. The thesis provides simple and easy-to-adapt tips for packaging designers how to reduce the environmental footprint of their packaging’s life-cycle. This redesign concentrates on on-shelf packaging and transportation of the packaging. The material of original packaging is moulded plastic. Redesigned Jaffa Cakes are sold in a long strip of carton tubes from which the buyer can rip off the amount of tubes she/he wants to purchase. The strip solution enables more products to put up on a shop shelf and more transported at once.
