Minnesota Trails Magazine covers outdoor activities across the state of Minnesota, from bike trails to camping and more. They hired us to fix some long-standing issues with their ad system, and we have been doing maintenance and development on their site since.
I recently built their Minnesota Miles blog, where one of the owners of the magazine is able to take a more casual voice for the content created for the site.
The site has a lot of custom functionality, which had been handed from development team to development team. An important (though invisible) part of the work I do for Minnesota Trails is simplifying overly complex functionality, improving documentation, and generally removing technical debt.
I have also done a fair amount of SEO and business consulting on this project: Finding ways to grow their traffic, to convert clicks into ad revenue, and more. It's a wide ranging project, and it's one of my favorites.
