This is a soft-cover book designed for the 150 year anniversary of the Archaeological Survey of India and was launched by the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh. The book mainly consisted of text supplemented with images and illustrations that highlight the history of the organisation. The first edition was published in December 2011 by the Archaeological Survey of India in collaboration with the National Culture Fund.
