How does a major global investment bank, already recognised for its edgy, entrepreneurial approach continue to innovate and retain that edge? Contrary to the approach of all its major competitors, Macquarie Bank selected a small "walk-up" suburban office tenancy located above a newsagent on "The Corso" at world famous Manly surf beach for its latest 500m 2 office fitout. Effectively taking the mountain to Mohammed, the banks strategy was to create a workplace which would attract and retain an emerging breed of high calibre "lifestyle" oriented financial professionals from within their own preferred playground.
