I grew up gazing starry-eyed at my Dad's collection of vintage sci-fi toys and comics. I wanted to believe in a romanticized future filled with flying cars, robots and bizarre alien worlds to explore. When I was asked to do this piece, I wanted to capture the excitement and wonder that the future holds through the lens of pulp sci-fi.
The authors of the article are portrayed as two intrepid cosmonauts, who have climbed to the edge of a bizarre landscape to witness the future unfolding before them. The gleaming prism is an abstract representation of packaging, with 5 sides that correspond with the 5 principles presented in the article.
