Pfizer Commemorative Book

Pfizer Pharmaceutical wanted to commensurate the more than 100 years legacy of drug research and innovation, which has taken place at their Pearl River site in upstate New York. I was hired during the year-long project to collect, document, consolidate, and design a book, which told the stories of not only the companies which ran the plant, but the employees, discoveries, and achievements, which made the plant a household name. The book consists of 192 pages, over 600 images and captions, while chronologically showing the site’s progression from a small office space in Manhattan (with a dozen employees) to a 140 acre facility with thousands of employees at Pearl River.

The book was celebrated by executives, current employees, and retirees. Over 2,500 books were printed and circulated. Honoring Our Heritage is present in the achieves of the Library of Congress (C#2012930360)..
More than 600 images out of 1,000+ were gathered from multiple company and outside resources, which were then scanned, retouched, and cataloged with fact-checked captions.
Spreads include a running time-line of company milestones and significant cultural events for historical reference from the early 1900s to the 2000s.
Sections of content were pulled out to make thematic features, which would create a clearer understanding of the extensive visual content of the book.
