Mainly, it's all for fashion purposes. Greed, Envy and Pride are the three major sins that are basically the culprits. Animals are slowly going to be endangered or even extinct if we human beings carry on killing and buying them for our wants more than our needs. Animals do not wear us, so we shouldn't wear them and they need their coat more than we do. Some human beings do not feel guilty or sad when they buy animal fur because they are not the ones killing them, they don't understand the pain the animals are going through. Faux fur is no different from real fur as they are just as beautiful.
