Fish

Objective
To concept, design, and build a board game with a unique premise that engages young professionals.

Concept

Combine the simplicity and strategy of a combination of well-known card games with the added twist of a spinning board controlled solely by "luck"– all wrapped up in a bright and modern art deco, casino theme.

Gameplay
1. Four Players compete in a round of Fish, a card game with a goal to eliminate all of the cards in your hand.

We designed a 54 deck of cards that consists of the standard hierarchy and two Wild Cards rather than Jokers.
We did not design Suits into our deck, as they are not pertinent to "Fish" play.

2. The order in which players are able to get rid of their cards determines their new Rank.

The Four Ranks correspond to the number of spaces they will move their player chip on the board as they move towards the center of the circular rings. Players can move either direction on the ring towards the entry point to the next ring.

3. After each player moves their Player Chip after every round the Dealer draws one card from the "Luck" pile.
"Luck" can change everything– whether it be by spinning an entry point closer to one player and further from another or
even by throwing Shark back a ring or hurtling the Fish forward a ring.

"Luck" is reflective of the fact that you can be the richest, most strategically sound person in the Casino,
but luck can completely change the game for anyone.

4. After the board is manipulated according to the "Luck" cards the Players prepare to play another round of cards.
The Fish shuffles the cards every round and Dealer always deals. Players continue to complete rounds until a player reaching the innermost circle of the board signifies the end of the game.
