The band Hey V Kay approached me about creating a poster for their new album. We discussed the idea of creating a pack of hipsters at the end of the world / the apocalypse. The idea was a fun and new way for me to play with a subculture that I truly enjoy observing in the real world. And putting these apocalypse hipsters into an environment where they might just use bazookas, swords and shotguns was an exciting challenge.
Below you will find a few of my very rough sketches that turned into more refined sketches that were finally digitized and placed into a backdrop on the edge of chaos. Enjoy!
