Mass Observation

Brief: Inspired by the principle aims of the Mass Observation experiment we are to use photography as a tool to observe and document in detail one aspect of everyday life selected from the Mass Observation directives wheel.

Insight: One out of four Americans eats fast food every day. Americans spend more than $100 billion on fast food every year. This amount of money is enough to stop world hunger for many years. McDonald's feeds about 45 million people around the world every day, which is more than the population of Spain.
Idea: Intrigued by the fast food culture of the 21st century, I decided to do a mass observation photo series on how people consume fast food.
Implementation: Repetitive treatment to photos taken to give a stronger impact on how people eat. Basically showing fast food consumption at its finest.
