The project tries to touch the memories of families via the typology of photographs by photoghraphic attributes such as freezing, documenting and identifying the moment and rituals of family memoirs.
One mother, one father. Around them, two daughters, one son. Everyone is spruced up, daughters’ hair have been braided elaborately. Also another baby at the mother’s arms.
Before cameras started to photograph every thing, at any moment, when every thing was more meticulous, all members of the family have gathered, gone to the studio and family has been photographed.
Family portraits, which held great importance once, are the typologic factors of the project. In every photograph to be created, a family portrait and one or more objects remaining from the same family will be used.
Pure, naive, copying and interchanging just the moment that has been taken family portraits primal type, reminiscent of family, objects that have completed their process of layered meanings in the course of time or that are still being attached with meanings, are going to form the final type.
