Edinburgh Skyline. On most summer days a thick fog forms over the city, caused by the warm land air rolling over the cold waters of the North Sea. If you look off into the distant hills you will catch a glimpse of sunshine. As the fog rolls over the city, everything darkens except for the weathered copper roofs which glow green.

Scott's Monument. View of the last platform. Well worth the 287 vertical steps to see the city from the top. But the gothic architecture is stunning in its own right.

Tynemouth Priory and Castle. This is a beautiful, haunting, place. The weather is constantly changing which in turn changes the light in a matter of moments. A great place to linger and get a fantastic view of the north sea.
