Pavilion Proposal for the Royal Academy of Arts Courtyard
I was inspired by the Serpentine gallery's exhibition they put on each year where they invite innovative architects to come and set up a temporary pavilion.
I wanted to place this pavilion in the RA courtyard as it creates an interesting entrance space and focuses less on the intricate architecture of the courtyard and more on whats directly infront of you; the statue at the entrance.
I was inspired by Toyo Ito and Oscar Neimeyer's past pavilion exhibitions at the Serpentine, which consist of very angular and sharp edges, which intrigued me to create this minimalist structure.
