This week's project was to create 2 posters based on social awareness issues. I chose Alzheimer's disease and Suicide. Both posters were created in Photoshop.

In the Alzheimer's poster, I took a shape of a man and woman (to show how the disease effects both sexes), started them out as white, and faded them to the purple color (the Alzheimer's color). I also added a group of people faded in a black background, to show you how the disease isolates you from the surrounding world and others. I was inspired by Glenn Campbell's fight with the disease and former President Regan's battle with Alzheimer’s.

The second poster hits a little close to home for me. I am a veteran, and know many veterans who suffer from PTSD and other disorders due to combat. Over 22 veterans take their lives daily, and I have known a few personally that have taken their lives.

In creating this poster, I used the image of a woman sitting at a grave, possibly a loved one that had taken their life, I also then list the signs of someone that might attempt suicide then added the suicide hotline number.
