The Level Up Lunch Bistro is a video game themed restaurant equivalent to a modern day video arcade. The bistro looks to
celebrate video game culture and history while also delivering the arcade-going experience to a new generation of people.
One main goal of the designs was to attract a new audience to video game playing. This was done by using a clean and
contemporary art direction for the typography and overall layout that would appeal to a wide audience that expands past the
stereotypical video game player.
Another design goal was to pay homage to video game history and it’s culture. This was done by combining the contemporary
art direction with pixelated icons and illustrations reminiscent of retro video games.
