This project was a school assignment where a particular style of art was assigned to me and I was to make branding for wallpapers, paint cans, brushes, and a 40-page swatchbook with individual designers of the time and terms relating to the movement.
The vernacular movement was a period of art in the early '80s and '90s that threw the plainess of post-modernism out of the window and gave new-age, often vulgar visuals and language to the art world. My goal was to give the viewer an underlying sense of nostalgia.
