Sickle Options is an initiative by Emory University to raise awareness and educate the populace about sickle cell disease and all facets of healthcare available for sickle cell patients. This interactive website required intuitive illustrations to accompany the articles and resources it presented to patients.
The following illustrations were commissioned for various pages of the site to act as visual aids. Since African Americans make up the subpopulation that is particularly affected by sickle cell disease, many of the illustrations were made to cater to the African American audience.
