Certain mental disorders have no cure. People are forced to rely on medication for the rest of their life to remain stable, or to make up for imbalanced neurotransmitters. This is the downside of diagnosis. One would imagine that after getting diagnosed, the doctors would finally know how to help you. There's a catch. They do help you. With pills. Though the blissful state or normality the pills produce is only temporary. But the pills themselves? Those are forever.
