This project was our chance to do anything we wanted, just for the fun of it. Unfortunetly, this project fell behind for everyone in the class, and it's safe to say that I'm not the only student who wishes they could have taken it further. But after my first modeled photoshoot, a week full of late nights, photoshop tutorials, and a day's worth of laying out this book, I'm still very happy with my final project. So, I present the summer release for Drizzle, a clothing brand that pays tribute to the King of Bay Area Hip Hop: Andre Louis Hicks aka Mac Dre.
Mac Dre lyrics + illustrated type designs + vibrant urban clothing
The title for the summer release, "The Sicker Summer" Series, was inspired by graffiti photographed on site.
Each typographic illustration has an introduction page...
followed by an experimental spread showcasing that particular shirt and the lifestyle of the brand/release.
