Overview
ROCSPOT is a nonprofit located in Rochester, NY, dedicated to transforming Rochester’s economy from one poweredby fossil fuels to one powered by solar energy. ROCSPOT aims to convert all of Rochester to solar by 2025. ROCSPOT also aims to reduce poverty in Rochester by creating high quality entry level positions in both manufacturing and installation of solar energy systems. ROCSPOT currently has direct support from Governor Cuomo and offers NYS tax deductions on solar power installations.
Problem
There are many misconceptions of cost and reliability in a region with continuous cloud cover, and there is little information provided online (which is the primary source of information for the general public). There are confusing terms used to describe how solar works and what it does, and it fails to capture the interest of the average consumer.

Website: Powerhouse of information. This can be the main resource for the consumer and volunteers within ROCSPOT. This website will provide clear, and easily understandable information regarding obtaining solar, how it works, donations, volunteering, etc.
The mobile version of the website will consolidate the long scrolling desktop site into three buttons at the top of the page, with the mission statement highlighted below. This offers direct information to a consumer who is looking for quick answers.

The print ads will be displayed in large public areas, primarily bus stops, and wheat pasted on the sides of buildings, reaching a large amount of people with cost effective distribution.
