Below are sketches and the final print of the letterpress project for my Type 1 class. Students were required to design a unique postcard then use the letterpress in the graphic design studio to create it. During this process, we learned about the different parts of the letterpress and the correct terminology for the tools being used. I decided to make my postcard design on black paper and silver ink. My quote is "Black and white is always modern, whatever that word means," said by designer Karl Lagerfeld.
