Lockeroom Welcome Video

Lockeroom is an online athletic community and tool for athletes, coaches, and fans to communicate and coordinate. The founders needed a video which showed the features and utility of their website.

I was approached to create the piece from the ground up: script, voiceover, and graphics. The video needed to be between 60 and 90 seconds, detail how the Fan, Athlete, and Coach rolls worked, and show the advantages of organizing teams through Lockeroom's tools.
Look development was crucial with the volume of information we needed to communicate. I wanted the video to feel nimble and athletic without getting too cluttered or rushed. I focused on using right angles to organize movement and acceleration, and avoided diagonal angles whenever possible.
A huge component of Lockeroom is the Journey section, which shares players' and teams' athletic journey through images, videos, and status updates. I wanted the Lockeroom welcome video to do the same. By working with the Lockeroom founders, we created a fictional soccer team and used their story of an unexpected championship season to drive the video.

Each piece of the story was specifically chosen to communicate the values of Lockeroom. I created logos for the team and league, and manipulated stock photos to fit into our storyline, using red jerseys to signify the West Chester Comets.
