USA TODAY Graphics & Videos 2015

For the Fall 2015 semester at American University, I have had the privilege of being selected as an AU dean's intern to work for USA TODAY. As an intern in the USA TODAY design department, I work alongside the design team to create graphics and illustrations for USA TODAY's paper (print), for the web (Social media platforms), and for mobile. I have also worked to create animations for some of the headlining stories to be placed the web.

Here are the links to view some of the graphics and animations I/collaboratively created for USA TODAY's website:
This was a short animated video I had created while I was a graphics newsroom intern at USA TODAY during the fall. I was given the task of making a unique and informative short animation for Thanksgiving. I had gotten the idea of researching the topic of traditional American Thanksgiving dinners and contrasting it with special harvest festival meals of countries around the world.
This short animation was created for a series at USA TODAY in which a special event in history is revisited. In this case, it was the anniversary debut of Sesame Street. I worked collaboratively with my mentor to create both the illustrations and the animations for this short video. The final version was distributed throughout USA TODAY's social media platforms.
