Angelito Negros is an installation piece revolving around the "recent" police killings of Black and Brown people such as Freddie Gray, Rekia Boyd, Tyrone West Micheal Brown, Eric Garner, Jesse Hernandez, Aiyana Jones, Frank Alvardo, and so on.

Encompassing altered articles about these cases gives information about the effects and dangers of these shootings. Angelito Negros attempts to not only educate the viewer but also forces the viewer to sympathize with and understand the pain people of color feel in various spaces.

"Angelito Negros", the original poem by Andrés Eloy Blanco speaks about a lack of diverse art in a predominately Black and Brown Venezuela. Andrés Eloy Blanco's work later became a focal point in Coleccion Pedro Infante: Angelitos Negros, a movie that centered around race and the African Diaspora of 1948. Eartha Kitt later performed Angelito Negros in Spanish and in English.
