This was an illustration done for The Wordsworth Project, a social startup based in Delhi focusing on providing education to underpriveleged children. The brief was to create an illustration to be printed as cards to help children understand the text more easily.

Mimi wants to be an actress. She wraps a dupatta around herself. She opens the cupboard. Mimi takes the lipstick and goes to the mirror. She opens her mouth wide and colours her lips red with her finger. She puts a little on her cheeks. Her saree is blue. Mimi is ready for her fashion shoot. Tuppy the bear sets the toy camera on the coffee table. Dora the monekey decorates the stage on the sofa. Mimi walks on the stage and sways her arms gracefully. She blows a kiss to the camera. Tuppy and Dora clap loudly and shout happily. The shoot is great.
Mama comes home late in the afternoon. She is tired. She sees paints and scarfs lying all around the house. She frowns. She finds Mimi sleeping curled on the sofa with her teddy bear and toy monkey. Mama smiles. She picks Mimi up in her arms and carries her to bed.
