The city of Crestview, Florida did not have any historic preservation ordinances to protect their downtown, or guide new development.  This flyer was designed in 2011 to invite members of the public, city council, and downtown property and business owners to a special workshop to discuss the importance of good design and the possibility of adopting ordinances. This was a sensitive subject for Crestview, which like many southern cities, had a great anxiety over property rights.
