FRAMING IMAGE 1: (Framing_01.jpg / DSCN1072.jpg)
• Camera – EOS RebelXS
• Date/Time – 10/27/2013, 12:15 PM
• Place – Back Yark, Boise, ID
• Weather – Clear and Sunny
• Exposure settings – f/11, ISO 400, 1/1000 sec
• Mood –Cheerful
• Theme – Nature, Family
• Principal focal point – My Daughter, Kathryn
• Comments and concerns – Here I used the rails of the fence and the rose bushes to create a frame around my daughter who is sitting in the grass. I think it works well, because she is clear in the sun, but the fence is dark and kind of shadowy. It is like, looking through a window.
FRAMING IMAGE 2: (ducks 025.jpg)
• Camera – EOS RebelXS
• Date/Time – 10/28/2013, 12:15 PM
• Place – Morrison Park, Boise, ID
• Weather – Cloudy and Raining
• Exposure settings – f/5.6, ISO 400, 1/400 sec
• Mood – Gloomy, but the ducks enjoyed it
• Theme – Nature
• Principal focal point – The Ducks
• Comments and concerns – Here I found a nice frame, the bridge over the stream. It would have been perfect on a nice day, but I sat there on the bank in the rain. I think it came out pretty clear even with the bad weather.
FRAMING Image 3: lines footbridge.jpg
• Camera – Canon EOS RebelXS
• Date/Time – 10/19/2013, 4:38 AM
• Place – A foot bridge in Boise, ID
• Weather – Outdoors, Sunny
• Exposure settings – f/5.6, ISO 400, 1/200 sec
• Mood – Curiosity
• Theme – Framing
• Principal focal point – My daughter, Kathryn
• Comments and concerns: We see a combination of horizontal and diagonal lines.  The beams on top form a crisscross pattern and the lines to the left of her form a shadow line on the floor below her.  All together they actually form a frame around her and create a dynamic effect.  What these lines do is lead the eye toward my daughter and the colorful tree.  What we also see in this picture is that Kathryn is located on the right third of the image so the image uses the rule of thirds as well.
FRAMING IMAGE 4: (Framing 016.jpg)
• Camera – EOS RebelXS
• Date/Time – 10/18/2013, 2:51 PM
• Place – A Farmers Field, Boise, ID
• Weather – Cloudy and Raining
• Exposure settings – f/11, ISO 400, 1/125 sec
• Mood – Gloomy
• Theme – Halloween
• Principal focal point – The Ghost/Scarecrow
• Comments and concerns – I found this Ghost on a fence in a farmer’s field. They had several Scarecrows on the fence for Halloween. The corn stalks on each side created a nice frame around him. The rainy weather added to give it a gloomy feeling

• Exposure settings – f/5.6, ISO 400, 1/60 sec
• Mood – Playful

FRAMING IMAGE 5: (newframing 013.jpg)
• Camera – EOS RebelXS
• Date/Time – 10/28/2013 / 7:12 PM
• Place – My Living room, Boise, ID
• Weather – Inside
• Exposure settings – f/5.0, ISO 200, 1/6 sec
• Mood – Cheerful
• Theme – Family
• Principal focal point – My Son
• Comments and concerns – This one took me a long time. I used the tripod here. This part of the house is a bit dark and I could not get the lighting correct. When I tried to get it brighter, everything got too blurry. So I brought over a different light and it made the picture nice and bright, and it is very clear. Joanne Fordyce made this beautiful quilt.
