This fundamentals III project is located at the paint shop in Roundhouse Complex in Savannah, GA, USA; a complex that has been around since late 1800s
The theme of the quarter was Experience, and so I dedicated my 10 weeks to create a dialogue and connection between previous form and function to Anthony Gormley's needs (hypothtically speaking).

My design, as you may have noticed, has no facade and coexists within the prexisting, abandoned building.
My proposal does not in any way alter the prexisting structure, but rather works around it creating a unique space for the sculptor Anthony Gormley. I have always been interested in historical preservation and reappropriation of space and I jumped on the opportunity that the pre-selected site offered to explore these ideas on this field. It was incredible and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

All the information is in the board, but I have decided to upload some of the content separately at a bigger scale for better appreciation and understanding if so needed.
This is the first floor and it shows the relationship between the historic building and my proposal.
Second floor, notice the camera icons are color coded with the renders that are featured below.
Feedback is welcomed!
