Dave Mason & Son is my fathers construction company. Based in South Devon, they work on a range of projects from kitchen and bathroom refits to extensions, complete houses and full developments.
I wanted to reduce the size of the brand identity. I achieved this with a little typographic play by removing the 'ason' of Mason and replaced it with '&son' of & Son. This allowed the identity to be visually stronger and more robust, a bit like builders. It also reflects the quality of service provided in terms of strength and solid build. By rotaing the identity through 90 degrees, the it suggests construction and building upwards.
