Row Home Music Box

Materials used: Binder's board, hand printed paper, sculpey, hand-constructed LED lighting circuit,
music box mechanism (plays Swan Lake), wall-mounted shelf, acrylic paint.
The paper was created using intaglio, relief, and collograph techniques.
Pictured below are several process shots from this project. Included is a picture of the copper plate used to make the brick print for the front of the house, as well as a spread of all the papers used to cover the house. Originally, I planned for more architectural elements but decided to keep the design minimal with the crown, bookshelf and door. The house can be removed from its base and has a hinging back door allowing access to the battery controlled lighting system.
