The Breakdown
I wanted to try a new technique using plaster and an utility knife to create more of a relief effect. Unfortunately you can't really see that in the photographs but it was quite interesting in person. I wanted to show power and beauty together. Also--I think the lion works much better than the eagle because of the limitations of using a knife on plaster (easy breakage, hard to get fine details). I think it works quite well for large close-ups.
