In this post-photography project, I was inspired from one of the paintings of Jackson Pollock, called “Greyed Rainbow”. I tried to give the feeling of the chaos in Pollock’s paintings with people. The constant “movements” of people in our daily lives may remind us the mixed feeling in a Pollock work. It seems like there are lots of different feelings and thoughts in the painting “Greyed Rainbow” and I thought that the best way to express this might be having lots of different types of physical and mental presences in my photos. The crowds in the photographs all have different auras and we simply feel different things when we look at them. I believe that this is because of the people who are in the picture. Even though we cannot know what they were thinking at that certain moment, we briefly experience the moment with those people, with people we have never met before…
