ATYPI CONFERENCE
“Burrying old type, bringing new techniques to the surface.”
Rise of the Dead poster was created for an International Type Conference hosted by ATYPI and located in sunny California at the Universal Studios. The idea for this poster is derived from the concept statement “Burrying old type, bringing new techniques to the surface.” The purpose of this conference was to create new techniques for designing typography using old well-known type as a pillar for learning and strengthening the new styles. The main title for this poster was hand done and used as the focal point to catch attention of the viewer. Crucial information for the conference is posted directly under the skull in a san serif bold font making it easy for the viewer to get main details for the conference in an instance. Pops of Green & Blue were used throughout the poster to create visual stimulation for the viewers eye. As a whole the poster creates a spooky zombie feel but done in a fun and quirky way.
