Slut Shaming & Objectification

Women are more than just their bodies. I'm saying we are people, not objects. Men do not own women. We are not dogs, and catcalling is not a compliment. When a woman says "no" it does not mean "convince me." Women fight like girls because we ARE girls, and it's not an insult. A woman can enjoy sex just as much as a man can, but if she enjoys it she's automatically called a "slut." It doesn't matter what we are wearing. No human being 'deserves' to be raped. Not men, and not women. If I chose to show a lot of skin, or chose to not show any, ultimately it is my decision because it is my body. Men and women ARE equal, therefore  should be treated like equals. We live in a world where man's worst fear is going to prison, and a woman's worst fear is walking home at night. In a world where we "deserve" to get raped because of what we are wearing. A world where schools send girls home for "distracting boys with their clothes" instead of teaching the boys not to disrespect girls.

"If men don’t have to be aggressive in order to be accepted women won’t feel compelled to be submissive. If men don’t have to control, women won’t have to be controlled." - UN Women Goodwill Ambassador Emma Watson
