Gossip: A Public Service Announcement

This project/campaign consists of three Public Service Announcement posters that raise awareness of the harmful effects of gossip. When gossip is spread, it does not just hurt the one that people are talking about. It can ruin friendships and other relationships, and it isolates people into feeling lonely and maybe even lost.
Each poster uses a different weapon that is formed out of typical words that would be heard as part of gossiping. This first poster depicts a knife going into the person's back. The person seems lonely, melancholy, and without others to turn to for comfort or solace.
This sencond poster is similar in color and concept, which brings out the loneliness of the man. The chosen weapon for this poster is a grenade, which is a great symbol for gossip. A grenade explodes and destroys things around it, as does gossip if it gets out of hand.
This final poster shows another lonely man with a gun pointed at him. With the gun being almost as tall as the man, it shows us how blown out of proportion gossip can get for a person. I chose this Photoshop mockup for the final poster because it would be a great place to have this public service announcement displayed for many people to see, especially teenagers.
*Disclaimer: DoSomething.org does not actually sponsor this campaign. Their website was strictly used as a way to show how an organization could put their information on a PSA poster.

*A special thank you goes to unsplash.com for providing free, high resolution photographs that were used in the creation of these posters.
