"Shou Sugi Ban" is a traditional Japanese wood charring technique in which the surface of wood is burnt - typically sidings used in architecture. This technique adds a natural protectant to the surface. 
Each bowl is finished with a food safe polyurethane, and are ideal rice bowls. 
Handmade on the lathe, each piece is unique and may vary in size, shape, and colour.
Made of solid Poplar. 
Sold individually.
Hand wash with soap, do not leave to soak.
