Fotodioxpro adapter is mounted to the back of the 4x5.  Then you can attach your camera to the adapter.
Basically, you will be using your ASA and shutter speeds on your Canon for controling exposure.  The aperature will be controlled by the lens you choose for your 4x5.
I have been using the Fotodiox in 5 positions with my Canon to build a single image.
Cameras and lenses used.
Rodenstock Sironar-N 5,6/210mm MC Lens In Later Black Copal #1 Shutter.
It covers an 8x10 format.  This allows me to expand the bellow just enough to tilt and shift.
This is the best lens I have used with the Calumet 4x5 and Canon EOS 6D.  It allows for a generous extension of the bellows.
Antique Gundlach Rapid Rectigraphic Triple Convertible Large Format lens with flange -5x7,8x10, 11x14 - Circa the 1910's.
The Focal lengths possible with this lens are :

This lens will cover 5x7, 8x10 and possibly larger depending on the configuration of the elements.
