Emerging Media Program App, Loyola University Maryland

Loyola University Maryland, a leading Jesuit, Catholic university in Baltimore, Maryland, wanted to bring their campus communications into the digital space in an interactive way for audiences. After researching digital publishing options, Loyola determined that Adobe Digital Publishing Suite had the leading technology and tool set available to create and deploy an engaging app for the University. After choosing the Emerging Media Program for their first Adobe DPS app, Loyola needed a design partner who had proficiency with Adobe DPS, experience working in higher education, and could work with multiple departments within Loyola University. Bates Creative worked together with Loyola to design the Emerging Media App (or “folio” as it is termed in Adobe DPS) within the Loyola University Maryland App. Our team guided the Loyola staff to learn best practices in using Adobe DPS with a streamlined process and helped prepare the Loyola team to take publishing with Adobe DPS fully in-house. The Emerging Media App promotes the curriculum and opportunities available to students who join the Emerging Media program at the school. The Emerging Media App brings Loyola’s recruitment materials to life through beautiful imagery, slideshows, videos of professors, student testimonials, an interactive quiz, and links to apply to the program. Loyola plans to continue producing apps and updating content with their Adobe DPS license across creative, marketing and IT departments.
