Project 2 - Vector Art

Select a “unique” word to create designs based upon the definition — literally or figuratively. The word you choose must lend itself to creating marketable products on Society6.
I began this project by choosing a word, which is more difficult than it seems. I am the type that enjoys visual art and the written word as well. There's a sort of craftsmanship when it comes to writing, and I've always been stunned by how effective a single word can be to a person.

We envision certain aspects of our lives every day. We tend to try to visualize what will happen to us in the future, whether it be near or far. Ours plans, hopes, fears, and dreams are just miniscule pictures in our minds, but envisioning all those thoughts could be our reality at a later part in our lives.
I focused on making my pattern a little more abstract. I wanted to keep the roundness in the entire project because "envision" kind of reminds me of figuratively seeing through your eyes. The colors here were taken directly from my own eye, using a macro lense and the eyedropper tool in Adobe Illustrator.
In this image, you can see my typography and pattern as a whole. I adjusted the opacity of the pattern to make the typography pop, and added some dimension as well.
Presentation board to showcase my work as a digital image and printed on solid objects. This shows three of the many products you can order from my Society6! Everything is able to be customized and is wonderfully made!
