"Blood on Ballarat" is a serial story curated by Jill Blee for the Death in July Festival (Ballarat July 2014), a partnership between Ballarat Writers' Inc and Sisters in Crime Australia. Told by ten Ballarat women, broadcast on ABC Radio and screened, in serial, for Death In July. Produced by Yum Studio.

"Blood on Ballarat was one of the highlights of Death in July (which had many). Ramped it up the stratosphere, I think. " Carmel Shute, Sisters in Crime Australia.

Crime author Leigh Redhead, kicked off the story with Chapter One, it then evolved as it was passed from one women to the next, each adding a few hundred words to the story, and a fresh Ballarat locale. Erin from Yum Studio filmed the entire thing to develop a film noir thread for the festival.
