Livable Office | Working Loft

Project challenge: For a 2-year rental unit, we are required to create a warm, practical and stylish office and living space within a budget.
Construction to delivery time: 1 month
This design concept focuses on flexibility and the importance of social character of the workspace. Upon entering the space, you immediately find yourself in an cozy atmosphere that enhances productivity. The floors have been covered with wood-like laminate, which, along with the warm beige walls, adds a sense of warmth and comfort to the space.
The room is well-lit, creating a conducive atmosphere for presentations and meetings, as indicated by the large screen displaying a presentation. Ergonomic office chairs surround a substantial wooden table, and the built-in storage cupboards indicate functionality and organization. The decorative elements are minimal, maintaining a professional and focused environment.
For sustainable business, the goal should be to curate an environment in which employees feel so much ‘at home’ that they truly relax and feel safe. The office design is hospitable and aesthetically pleasing, emphasizing comfort and social interaction through thoughtful design choices.
The walls have been painted in a warm beige tone, creating a cozy and welcoming environment. The installation of wood laminate flooring has added warmth and a residential feel. A round wooden dining table with complementary chairs serves as the centerpiece of the room, suggesting a communal and intimate space for eating and gathering. The wall art adds a decorative touch, infusing the space with personality and color.
The idea of utilizing that space as a tea area that caters to individual’s way of working, whether they wish to work in one of many different workstations that supports either focused individual work or social collaboration.
Seating includes woven chairs, adding texture and a handcrafted quality. Recessed lighting provides a subtle, ambient glow that further enhance the space. Overall, varied textures and colors are considered, furniture are carefully selected, whilst the absence of providing a truly inspiring, warm and home-like workspace in order to retain the highest caliber of employees.
