Painful Pleasures, one of the leading tattoo and piercing supply companies, commissioned me to develop a series of characters and type to help celebrate their 25 years in business. They desired the characters to be humorous, edgy, but still representative of the company's values. The type is a modern take on classic blackletter styles often seen in this industry.
