KIB120 // Week 9 // Micro + Macro

9.1 BlueString
Using a Canon macro lens I was able to zoom in very closely. This is an image of my dog's hair, which I then edited in Bridge to adjust the exposure, contrast, temperature, clarity, saturation etc. By taking the image out of context, you are able to give it a whole new meaning.
9.2 LavaStems
This image appears to be straw or a stem of some type growing out of lava. However, in reality it is the top of my dog's nose. The macro lens enabled me to focus on minute details.
9.3 MoonRock
This is a micro image of a moss covered vase. It gives the impression of the surface of the moon. Enhancing the contrast between the highlights and shadows and clarity in Bridge increases the hars terrain.
9.4 MossyWaters
This is a close-up image of a moss-covered water fountain. The micro landscape image gives the impression of a macro landscpae of wetlands.
9.5 RiverSystems
This micro image of a paver highlghts the geological variation in the stone. It gives the impression of macro landscape of river systems or desert patterns.
9.6 CottonInTheSky
I took this photo of baby's breath with only sky in the background in order to adjust the scale. The image could be mistaken for that of a cotton tree. By removing a relatable scale, the intepretation of scale is left to the viewer.
9.7 SnowTree
This image appears to be a green trunk of some sort that has caught a soft snow flake on its trunk. It is a highly magnified leaf of a lavendar bush.
9.8 ButterflyHeaven
By cropping the image of the lavender bud it creates a snapshot and focuses more attention on the elements in focus. In Bridge I enhanced the clarity and various other elements to bring out the magnified features.
